401Racing Return Policy

At 401Racing, we’re committed to providing high-quality gaming rigs, components, and transparent service – including our live feed, where you can watch your rig being built! Because we operate exclusively online, our return policy is designed to protect both our customers and our business. Please review the following terms carefully before making a purchase.


1. Eligible Returns

  • Warranty/Guarantee Coverage: Only parts and components with a manufacturer’s warranty or our in-house guarantee are eligible for return, exchange, or refund.
  • Condition: Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in the same condition as when shipped.
  • Timeframe: Returns must be initiated within the warranty or guarantee period specified at the time of purchase.

2. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded under normal circumstances:

  • Custom-built gaming rigs or PCs (unless a specific part is defective and covered by warranty).
  • Open-box or used parts (including those removed from customer systems).
  • Software, digital products, or license keys (once opened or activated).
  • Parts damaged due to customer mishandling, overclocking, or improper installation.
  • Consumable items (e.g., thermal paste, cable ties, cleaning kits).
  • Services rendered (e.g., labor for re-balling, diagnostics, or custom builds).
  • Live feed purchases or viewing access (non-refundable).

Exception for Non-Returnable Parts: If you purchased a part that is not eligible for return but still wish to cancel your order, you may request a refund. However, refunds for such parts will only be processed after the part has been resold. You will be notified once the item is resold, and your refund will be issued to the original payment method within 5 – 7 business days.


3. Return Process

  • Proof of Purchase: A valid order confirmation or invoice is required for all returns.
  • Inspection: All returned items will be inspected. If the item is damaged, altered, or missing components, the return will be denied.
  • Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee may apply to eligible returns, unless the item is defective or covered under warranty.
  • Refund Method: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days after approval.

4. Defective or DOA (Dead on Arrival) Items

  • If a part is defective or DOA, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange for testing, replacement, or refund at our discretion.
  • Shipping Costs: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to a confirmed defect or error on our part.

5. Warranty Claims

  • For warranty claims, provide the original warranty documentation and proof of purchase.
  • We will facilitate the claim with the manufacturer or replace the part if covered under our in-house guarantee.

6. Exceptions

  • Custom Builds: Due to the personalized nature of custom-built rigs (including those featured on our live feed), these are final sale and not eligible for return unless a specific part is defective.
  • Re-balled Components: These are not eligible for return unless the service itself is proven defective.
  • Special Orders: Non-stock or custom-ordered items are final sale.

7. How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact us at orders@401Racing.co.za with your order number and reason for return.
  2. Receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number – do not ship items back without this.
  3. Ship the item to our designated return address (provided upon RMA approval) with the RMA number clearly marked.
